Hospitality, Events and Boutique Hotel All-Rounder
The Abbey is seeking a versatile, high-energy Hospitality & Events All-Rounder to join our close-knit team. This dynamic, full-time, onsite role is based at our premium boutique hotel, which specialises in luxury accommodation and bespoke private events and weddings.
As we operate as a small team, you will perform a variety of duties. You will transition between office administration, guest relations, event and wedding planning, and housekeeping support. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses a sharp eye for detail, and brings a warm, "can-do" attitude to every task.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Services & Reception
- Front Desk: Greet guests warmly, manage check-ins/check-outs, and handle inquiries.
- Office Admin: Manage email correspondence, process bookings, and answer phone calls.
- Concierge: Provide local recommendations and ensure an exceptional guest experience.
- Wedding & Event Coordination
- Planning Support: Assist the events manager with couple consultations, timelines, and floor plans.
- Function Execution: Set up event spaces (tables, chairs, decor) and serve food or beverages.
- On-the-Day Logistics: Coordinate vendors and ensure private events and weddings run smoothly and on schedule.
- Housekeeping & Property Operations
- Room Turnover: Assist the housekeeping team as needed with cleaning, linen changes, and staging rooms.
- Presentation: Maintain immaculate presentation across communal areas, gardens, and event spaces.
- Inventory: Monitor and restock guest amenities and hotel supplies.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Industry Experience: Prior experience in hospitality, tourism, or event planning is highly regarded.
- Multi-Tasking: Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities calmly.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Schedule & Availability: Must be able to work a flexible roster, including early mornings, late nights, weekends and occasionally on public holidays.
- Certifications (Desirable):
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.
- Valid Australian driver's license and reliable transport.
