Medusa Hotel Sydney is seeking a bubbly and professional Hotel Receptionist for a casual position within our boutique team. This role presents an opportunity to be the primary point of contact for guests, delivering exceptional service and crafting memorable experiences from arrival.

Located in Darlinghurst, NSW, this position offers flexibility as part of a dynamic hospitality team. As a Boutique Hotel Receptionist, you will be instrumental in representing the hotel and ensuring guests receive a warm and efficient experience throughout their stay.

Hours: Shifts are available between 8am-1pm and 1pm-7pm, operating 5 to 7 days per week. Flexible work shifts will be rostered based on candidate availability.

Responsibilities:

• Greeting guests upon arrival with a warm welcome and efficiently processing check-ins and check-outs.
• Managing reservations, bookings, and enquiries via phone, email, and in-person.
• Providing accurate information regarding hotel facilities, local attractions, and services.
• Handling guest requests and complaints professionally, resolving issues promptly, and escalating when necessary.
• Managing front desk operations, including cash handling and payment processing.
• Maintaining accurate guest records and updating the hotel management system.
• Co-ordinating with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Promoting hotel services and facilities to encourage guest engagement.
• Performing general administrative tasks and maintaining a neat, welcoming reception area.

Requirements:

• Customer service experience in a boutique hotel setting is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with hotel management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• A professional appearance and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
• Flexibility to work across various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a bonus.
• A genuine interest in the hospitality industry and a commitment to excellence.
