Hotel Services Officer

Cultura seeks a Hotel Services Officer to join our team in North Geelong. This casual, on-site position reports directly to the Manager, Hotel Services.
Position Overview
The Hotel Services Officer will contribute to Cultura’s food services preparation and service areas. Responsibilities encompass day-to-day cleaning and laundry duties. A key aspect of this role involves interaction with residents and their families, requiring sound communication skills. The ability to work with limited supervision, both independently and as part of a team, is essential. This position involves prioritising workload within established routines and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with residents to ensure their needs and requirements are met.
- Assist with or complete residents’ laundry.
- Undertake routine and periodic cleaning and laundry tasks.
- Adhere to dietary requirements for all residents, understanding their preferences and choices during meal service and housekeeping.
- Prepare vegetables, meals, snacks, and fluids.
- Serve meals and snacks to residents.
- Set, prepare, clear, and clean tables for resident meals.
- Complete dishwashing tasks.
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of areas under responsibility.
- Follow Cultura’s food safety plan.
- Complete routine documentation.
- Monitor residents’ dietary requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Essential:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Basic food handling skills.
- Understanding of hotel services requirements.
- Ability to understand and follow food safety regulations and the food safety plan.
- Desirable:
- A current ‘Food Handler’ certificate.
