A permanent, full-time Domestic Support (Housekeeper) is sought to join a small, close-knit team within a private residence. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an individual experienced in luxury hotels, private residences, or high-end hospitality environments, who values delivering excellent service and maintaining immaculate presentation.
Operating to the standards of a 5-star hotel, your responsibilities will encompass the upkeep and cleanliness of the residence, alongside providing exceptional guest service. This includes supporting events, preparing for table service, and ensuring all interactions are characterised by warmth and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the household to an impeccable standard, covering cleaning, laundry, and general upkeep.
- Prepare for and assist with formal and informal meals, events, and guest hosting.
- Care for fine furnishings, fittings, and finishes with meticulous attention to detail.
- Monitor and manage household supplies, linen, and pantry stock.
- Provide personalised guest service and respond to requests with efficiency and warmth.
- Care for household pets, including walking and feeding as required.
- Complete additional tasks as requested by the family from time to time.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a luxury hotel, private residence, or high-end hospitality setting.
- Impeccable presentation and a commitment to high service standards.
- Strong understanding of housekeeping procedures and service etiquette.
- Initiative and flexibility to manage tasks independently while being part of a close-knit team.
- Comfort working around residents and guests, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, polished, and professional approach.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including a rotating roster, with weekends and evenings as required.
- Comfort with domestic animals, such as walking and caring for dogs.
- Current driver’s licence is preferred.
