Experience Broken Hill is seeking two enthusiastic Motel and Caravan Park Assistant Managers to support the day-to-day operations across its accommodation group, which includes Broken Hill Tourist Park, Outback View Holiday Park, Sturt Motel, and Away Cottages. This is a leadership role within the Hospitality Industry (General) Award MA000009, Level 5, with superannuation and team accommodation available.

About the Role As an Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the management team to deliver exceptional guest experiences and support daily operations across guest services, housekeeping, grounds, and maintenance teams across multiple properties. This is a hands-on leadership role with varied daily tasks. Responsibilities include supporting reception during busy periods, assisting the Head of Housekeeping with daily operations, cleaning, servicing accommodation, inspecting rooms and facilities, and working with the grounds team to maintain properties. You will lead by example to create great experiences for guests.
A Typical Day May Include:
- Supporting daily operations of caravan parks and the motel with the management team.
- Leading and mentoring Guest Services, Housekeeping, and Grounds team members.
- Assisting with reception, guest enquiries, and reservations.
- Supporting the Head of Housekeeping with daily planning and coordinating housekeeping priorities.
- Leading by example by assisting with accommodation cleaning, room servicing, and cleaning of amenities and guest facilities.
- Conducting regular inspections of accommodation, amenities, motel rooms, and park facilities.
- Maintaining exceptional presentation standards across all properties.
- Assisting with rostering, onboarding, and team development.
- Supporting operational planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assisting with basic maintenance coordination and ensuring facilities remain well presented.
- Participating in a shared roster for after-hours on-call duties to support guests and respond to operational issues when required.
- Ensuring compliance with Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
- Helping resolve guest enquiries and creating memorable holiday experiences.
About You Success in this role requires:
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience within hospitality, tourism, or accommodation.
- Enjoyment of leading from the front and working alongside your team.
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise competing tasks and remain calm under pressure.
- A current driver's licence.
- Previous experience in a caravan park, holiday park, motel, or hotel environment.
- Experience with NewBook or similar property management systems will be highly regarded.
- Willingness to be hands-on and support all areas of the business.
