SESG is seeking a Reception (Host) to provide exceptional customer service to all visitors and guests, ensuring a signature customer experience for everyone. The role involves delivering a high level of customer satisfaction through prompt, accurate, and helpful information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and farewell members and guests, focusing on creating memorable, signature experiences.
- Process memberships, divert phone calls, and accurately process payments in line with compliance.
- Proactively approach members and guests to ensure club and licensing requirements are met, refusing entry in line with compliance requirements and documenting such instances. Escalate refusals to the Customer Service Manager (CSM) as required.
- Answer phone calls promptly, providing club information and services.
- Provide information and up-sell facilities, products, and memberships to new and existing members.
- Process take-away alcohol purchases.
- Report any arising issues to the CSM.
- Read and respond to emails professionally and politely, escalating feedback to the CSM.
- Model the SESG culture and values.
- Hand over information and responsibilities to the next shift.
- Assist with all enquiries from patrons, members, guests, and SESG team members, solving problems over the phone and in person.
- Assist in maintaining a safe atmosphere by assessing visitors upon entry to the club(s).
- Keep all reception areas neat and tidy.
- Undertake any additional projects or duties assigned by management.

- Experience answering and redirecting incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- A professional 'can do' approach to customer service displayed with all customers, including those from diverse backgrounds.
- 3+ years’ experience working in a fast-paced customer service environment.
- Demonstrated experience where you’ve used a professional ‘can do’ approach to customer service.
- Strong computer skills, ideally with memberships, payments, and booking platforms.
- Ability to work on a 7-day roster.
- Effective communication skills and a team player with the mindset of ‘what I promise, I deliver on.’
