The Role As a Reservations Agent at Elements of Byron, your responsibilities will include managing accommodation bookings through phone, email, and online booking platforms in a courteous and efficient manner. This involves assisting with initial enquiries through to finalising bookings via phone, email, and third-party platforms. Your strong communication skills will be key to confirming individual accommodation needs and arranging pre-payments according to resort procedures. You will also support our Conferencing & Groups team with accommodation bookings, updating guest rooming lists, and organising specific guest room requests, such as amenities or welcome packs.
To ensure your success, you will receive structured training and be partnered with a buddy to help you feel confident in handling enquiries independently.
Hours of Work This is a full-time permanent role requiring 38 hours per week, scheduled across a 7-day rotating roster. Shifts will be either 8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm. Flexibility to work these shifts, including at least one weekend day, is required.
Eligibility Ideally, you will be an Australian Citizen or Resident. As this is a permanent position, we are unable to consider candidates on a Working Holiday Visa.
Rates
- Monday - Friday: $27.97 per hour
- Saturday: $34.96 per hour
- Sunday: $41.96 per hour
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Reservations role within a 4-5 star hotel/resort environment or an Inbound Call Centre role.
- Well presented with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service by responding to guest requests promptly, efficiently, and courteously.
- Strong organisational skills with a clear focus on quality and standards.
- Ability to multitask and handle a high volume of calls and email enquiries.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Suite and Opera System experience would be highly regarded.
- Ability to communicate with a diverse range of people.
- Full availability to work weekends and public holidays.
