Ming Dining, an award-winning contemporary Cantonese restaurant situated in the Melbourne CBD, is looking for an experienced, professional, and passionate Restaurant Front of House Manager. This role involves leading the front-of-house team to ensure exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the front of house.
• Lead, train, and motivate the FOH team to provide outstanding service.
• Ensure high levels of customer service and guest satisfaction.
• Manage reservations, guest inquiries, and special requests.
• Address customer feedback and resolve issues professionally.
• Facilitate effective communication between the kitchen and front of house.
• Prepare staff rosters and manage labour costs.
• Uphold high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and service.
• Assist with private dining, corporate events, and special functions.
• Monitor team performance and ensure service consistency.
• Support sales growth and contribute to achieving restaurant performance targets.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager, or Front of House Manager role.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
• Experience managing high-volume hospitality venues.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Knowledge of wine, cocktails, and beverage service is highly regarded.
• Experience managing private dining rooms, functions, or corporate events is an advantage.
• Mandarin and English speaking is preferred.
• Full Australian working rights are preferred.
