Restaurant Shift Manager - Ourimbah Heatherbrae's Pies

This is a full-time, onsite management role based in Ourimbah. A casual Shift Manager position is also available.
Our front-of-house team are committed to delivering premium coffee and outstanding hospitality. We are seeking an experienced Shift Manager/Supervisor with strong organisational and leadership capabilities to support our Restaurant Manager and Restaurant Team. You will assist in managing the customer service team and the restaurant operations at our high-volume bakery restaurant in Ourimbah. This is an opportunity to develop management skills in a high-volume, yet friendly and authentic, environment.
Responsibilities:
- Report to and support the Restaurant Manager, with additional support from our Operations Manager, in the day-to-day running of the business.
- Lead customer service shifts and supervise a small-to-medium-sized front-line customer service team (3-10 people).
- Lead by example by maintaining high levels of professionalism and personal presentation, and be willing to "roll up your sleeves" with the team.
- Manage the team during your shift, including directing staff for the most successful operations and ensuring adherence to company policies (including food safety and uniform policies).
- Maintain a safe work environment in relation to OHS/WHS and food safety and hygiene.
- Ensure procedures, policies, and high standards are carefully adhered to at all times.
- Undertake additional management tasks such as rostering, ordering, and training, as required.
About You:
- You possess strong customer service experience.
- You have management experience and preferably have managed teams of up to 10 people in previous roles.
- You are prepared to work weekends and evenings, as required by the business.
- You can confidently manage a team, including directing, disciplining, and providing encouragement.
- You are willing to work with industrial ovens.
- You have experience in retail, hospitality, or QSR.
- You have high energy and initiative levels, with a friendly, outgoing personality.
- You are reliable.
- You are a quick learner and fast on your feet.
- You hold a Basic Food Handlers Certificate or will obtain one before starting employment.
- You must have Australian work rights to be eligible for this position.
