About the Role A highly skilled, passionate, and hands-on Room Division Manager is sought to lead the Front Office team and oversee outsourced housekeeping services at Mercure Melbourne Caroline Springs. This role is part of the WestWaters Hotel & Entertainment complex, one of Melbourne's largest western venues. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the successful candidate will assume full responsibility for all Front Office operations. This position presents an excellent opportunity for a Front Office Manager or a senior Front Office Assistant Manager with substantial experience to advance into a management role within a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-outlet setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Adopt a hands-on leadership approach, which includes performing check-ins, engaging in meaningful guest interactions, handling telephone inquiries, and delivering exceptional guest service.
- Train and develop front office staff, ensuring that skill levels and staffing arrangements align with hotel occupancy demands and guest expectations.
- Manage departmental rosters and ensure adherence to both business requirements and financial objectives.
- Maintain accuracy in room inventory control and liaise with the Sales and Housekeeping departments to facilitate seamless operations.
- Conduct regular reviews of Front Office procedures, policies, and standards to optimise efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate closely with the General Manager to make informed decisions that directly influence business profitability.
- Consistently demonstrate and promote the positive values of the hotel and the management team.
