Helloworld Travel is seeking two individuals for entry-level Travel Consultant Trainee roles at our Westfield Carindale Shopping Centre location. This full-time, onsite position offers a pathway for a long-term career in the travel industry.

This role is suited for candidates who possess a passion for travel, demonstrate an ability to learn on the job, can work under pressure, and have the capacity to convert enquiries into sales. You will be given the opportunity to learn and excel as a travel agent. Your responsibilities will include gaining knowledge of destinations, products, building customer relationships, and sales techniques. Learning will occur through self-education, online training, and in-house instruction. On-the-job training and mentoring will develop your skills in travel planning, booking, and customer relationship management.

Ideally, you will be confident in selling tailor-made holiday packages, cruise packages, tours, and airfares, as well as creating bespoke itineraries. Building customer relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction will be critical to your success.

What you will be doing:

• Providing personalised travel planning and booking services to customers.
• Researching and recommending the best travel options to meet customer needs.
• Arranging flights, accommodation, tours, and other travel components.
• Ensuring customers receive accurate information and a seamless booking experience.
• Maintaining detailed records of customer interactions and bookings.
• Continuously expanding your knowledge of destinations, travel products, and industry trends.
• Delivering outstanding customer service and building lasting client relationships.

What we are looking for:

• A strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills.
• A keen interest in the travel industry and a passion for helping people plan their holidays.
• The ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Proficiency in using technology, including travel booking systems and computer applications.
• A willingness to learn and expand your travel industry knowledge.
• Relevant qualifications or experience in travel, tourism, or customer service are preferred.
