Sydney Restaurant Group (SRG Hospitality) is a prominent restaurant group in Sydney, comprising 15 distinct venues. The group is committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences, culinary excellence, and maintaining a people-first culture. SRG Hospitality is now undertaking the full operational leadership of the Food & Beverage (F&B) division at The Langham Sydney, a luxury hotel in the city.

A Venue General Manager is sought to oversee the entirety of this F&B operation, encompassing The James restaurant, in-room dining, event and conference catering, and hotel breakfast service. This is a standalone leadership position reporting directly to SRG's Director of Food & Beverage. The role carries full accountability for commercial performance, guest experience, and team leadership across all these outlets. This position does not include responsibility for hotel management, rooms, or front office operations; the focus is exclusively on food and beverage operations at a significant scale and complexity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full P&L accountability for The James, in-room dining, events catering, and breakfast service.
• Leadership of a multi-outlet team involved in restaurant floor, banqueting/events, and room service operations.
• Ensuring a consistently premium guest experience across all touchpoints, from intimate dinners to large conference lunches.
• Recruitment, development, and performance management of the leadership team and broader F&B staff.
• Close day-to-day collaboration with The Langham's hotel management team to ensure seamless coordination between SRG's F&B operation and the overall hotel guest experience.
• Structured commercial and operational reporting to SRG's Director of F&B.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, WHS, and liquor licensing obligations across all outlets.

About You:

Ideal candidates will be either:

• A highly experienced Venue General Manager or Restaurant General Manager from a complex, high-volume Sydney venue, prepared to step into a multi-outlet leadership role.
• An experienced hotel Food & Beverage leader who has operated at this level of complexity within a luxury hotel environment.

You will possess:

• A proven track record of managing multi-faceted F&B operations with genuine commercial rigour.
• The capability to lead teams across diverse service styles – fine dining, events, in-room dining, and breakfast – without compromising standards.
• Polished stakeholder management skills, comfortable presenting performance to SRG's F&B Director and partnering with hotel leadership.
• A guest-first mindset and the composure required to operate in a luxury hotel environment with non-negotiable standards.
