As Venue Manager for Mountain Goat, you will be responsible for leading a vibrant, iconic venue at our brewery in Richmond. Your role will involve driving exceptional service, achieving strong operational performance, and fostering a community-focused atmosphere. You will be instrumental in shaping the customer experience, expanding the venue's presence, and developing a high-performing team.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage daily venue operations to ensure consistent delivery of service, compliance, ambience, and standards.
- Oversee rosters, stock, and operational efficiencies to meet Key Performance Indicators for labour, Cost of Goods Sold, and customer experience.
- Coordinate bookings, large group events, and brewery tours, ensuring their smooth execution.
- Champion continuous improvement of the guest experience across food, beverage, and service.
- Partner with marketing, brewing, and stakeholders to execute brand initiatives and events.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
- Address and resolve customer or team issues promptly and professionally.
- Cultivate relationships within the local community to enhance the venue's profile.
- Identify and implement opportunities for business growth and increased trade.
- Ensure full adherence to RSA, licensing, Work Health and Safety, and company policies.
About You:
- Demonstrated experience managing a fast-paced hospitality venue.
- Strong leadership abilities, including experience in building and developing high-performing teams.
- Commercial acumen with a history of achieving operational and financial KPIs.
- A passion for hospitality, with a genuine appreciation for beer, food, and creating positive customer experiences.
- Self-motivated, resilient, and adaptable, capable of succeeding in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A hands-on, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the capacity to manage competing priorities.
- Experience with events, community engagement, and brand activations is highly regarded.
- Possession of a relevant hospitality qualification or equivalent experience.
