Fox Personnel is seeking an experienced and people-focused leader to assume the role of Village Manager at a premium retirement village in Shepparton. This is a leadership position with end-to-end operational responsibility, encompassing financial performance, capital works, and fostering a vibrant resident community. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily village operations and financial performance, including budgets, capital works, asset programs, and resales.
- Oversee administration, service levies, supplier performance, and new home construction projects.
- Cultivate positive relationships with residents, committees, families, and contractors.
- Lead, coach, and support the village team, promoting a culture of respect and community.
- Ensure compliance with retirement village legislation, WH&S, safety, and emergency management protocols.
Required Attributes:
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and conflict-resolution skills.
- Capacity to build and maintain a genuine community culture.
- Sound administrative and computer skills.
- A current Driver Licence, First Aid Certificate, and National Police Check (or the willingness to obtain them).
Experience in facilities, property, or asset operations, along with tertiary qualifications, is desirable. Industry experience is not essential; the focus is on leadership, commercial sense, and interpersonal skills. You will be supported by an experienced business support officer and receive a four-week handover from the outgoing manager, with ongoing management support.
