Waiting Staff (Restaurant All-Rounder) - Wafu Kitchen, Alexandria

Wafu Kitchen, a gluten-free Japanese restaurant located in Alexandria, is seeking part-time all-rounders. The restaurant is situated within a 10-15 minute walk or bus ride from Redfern and Waterloo stations, with bus routes 308, 305, 355, 306, and 370 serving the area.

Operating hours are Monday to Friday for lunch, and Monday to Saturday for dinner. The restaurant is closed on Sundays and public holidays.

Responsibilities include:

• Dishwashing
• Cleaning duties
• Food preparation for simple tasks such as measuring ingredients (cooking, cutting, and chopping are not included)
• Assisting the chef
• Serving food and drinks
• Operating the POS system for payments
• Managing takeaway orders and reservations via mobile phone, including receiving and sending text messages

Work Details:

• Work Type: Part-time
• Location: Onsite, Alexandria
• Hours: Lunch shifts and/or dinner shifts, with a requirement to include 3-5 lunch shifts per week. Expect 4-6 shifts per week.
• Salary: $25.85 – $36 per hour (award rate for gross wage is $25.85/h)
• Start Date: Immediate
• Duration: Long term, minimum 6 months

Requirements:

• Intermediate English proficiency is required for effective communication with customers and team members.
• No experience is required.
• No RSA is required as alcohol is not sold.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of Japanese foods is preferred but not essential.
