Ballina Byron Islander Resort & Tavola Restaurant Bar is seeking experienced Waitstaff for a casual position at our establishment in West Ballina, NSW. This role is integral to delivering exceptional service and creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. As a key member of our team, you will represent the resort and restaurant, contributing to our standing as a premier dining destination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests and escort them to their tables according to restaurant seating arrangements.
• Present menus and offer informed suggestions regarding food and beverage selections.
• Accurately record food and beverage orders using established procedures.
• Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally, adhering to service standards.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal and address any requests or concerns.
• Process guest payments and provide courteous service during checkout.
• Clear and reset tables to maintain a tidy dining area.
• Liaise with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Comply with all relevant health, safety, and hygiene regulations for food service.
• Undertake general restaurant duties and assist with special events as needed.

What We're Looking For:

• A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification is mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience as waitstaff, preferably within restaurant or licensed venue settings.
• Excellent customer service skills, characterised by a friendly, professional, and approachable manner.
• Strong communication capabilities and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Keen attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple tables concurrently.
• Familiarity with food and beverage service etiquette and standards.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and carry items safely.
• Reliability and flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to exceed guest expectations.
