2nd Class Welder
BMI Engineering Pty Ltd is seeking experienced 2nd Class Welders to join our growing team. For over 25 years, BMI Engineering has been a leader in providing innovative solutions and quality products to the resources, waste, and haulage sectors. Our Acacia Ridge workshop is equipped to handle truck hydraulic and body fitment for a wide range of mobile equipment, from small assets to large industrial machinery.
Role Responsibilities:
- Performing repairs and maintenance on hook lifts, tip and skip bin loaders, tippers, and other equipment with hydraulic systems.
- Conducting repairs on truck hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Undertaking structural body repairs and fabrication.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and designs.
- Maintaining and caring for all machinery, tooling, and equipment.
- Adhering to all standard operating procedures and safe work practices.
- Following instructions and direction from the Workshop Supervisor.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 12 months of MIG welding experience.
- Proficiency in fabricating and assembling components within a workshop setting.
- Prior experience in heavy vehicle and truck maintenance.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and computer literacy.
- Capacity to work effectively within a team, autonomously, and unsupervised.
- A demonstrated commitment to safety.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Punctual and reliable.
