Project Control Engineer

We are seeking a Project Engineer/Technician to join our Power Quality (PQ) division and support the PMO team on EPMS projects. This role will provide technical expertise to facilitate both on-site and off-site works, and to support ongoing client maintenance contracts, while also developing our on-site capabilities.
Key Duties:
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects.
- Develop project drawings and SLDs for customers as required.
- Collaborate with internal resources to submit and obtain client approval for project-related technical submittals.
- Establish testing plans (ITP/ITS), conduct on-site training, and oversee factory and site commissioning and testing for software projects.
- Prepare the SWMS with assistance from the Safety Officer and relevant resources.
- Ensure software project on-site delivery, installation, commissioning, and testing are completed according to site requirements.
- Verify that designs and projects comply with relevant electrical and safety standards, and customer specifications.
- Lead the resolution of all technical questions or inquiries from clients.
- Perform overall quality control of work, including budget, schedule, plans, and personnel performance, and provide regular project status reports.
- Prepare and manage the on-site resource schedule and plan.
- Provide regular project or progress report updates to both Eaton and clients.
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with the project manager and other project participants to offer assistance and technical support.
- Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Electrical/Electronic qualification.
- Experience in installations, commissioning, fault finding, and maintenance of Electrical Power Monitoring Systems/SCADA.
- Knowledge and experience with ELV, LV, MV, UPS, ATS, STS, Switchboards, and control systems/PLC’s/HMI’s.
- Experience with database historian/SQL applications.
- Proficiency with computers, networking, and software such as MS Office, SAP, Visio, and AutoCAD.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and control drawings and schematics.
