This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant seeking to advance their career within the property sector. You will join a growing, privately owned business operating in commercial property with a diversified portfolio encompassing property development and investment.

As part of a collaborative finance team, you will gain exposure to development accounting, property portfolio reporting, and a wide array of financial accounting tasks. The varied workload across multiple business areas offers the chance to further develop your accounting experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with month-end reporting, reconciliations, and general accounting activities.
• Preparing financial reports, journals, and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Processing accounts payable, payment runs, and bank reconciliations.
• Supporting development accounting activities, including job costing and monthly claims.
• Assisting with investor reporting, distributions, and tenant billing.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting, tax compliance, and audit preparation.
• Liaising with internal stakeholders to support day-to-day finance operations.

Required Expertise:

• Degree qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• 2-4 years of experience in a broad accounting role, including exposure to month-end processes and financial reporting.
• CA/CPA qualified or nearing completion.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Highly Regarded:

• Previous experience within the property or construction sector.
• Experience using a property accounting system.

Remuneration: $85,000 - $90,000 Package Hours: Full-time Location: Southbank Work Type: Onsite
