Alma Cannabis Pty Ltd is seeking a Finance and Operations Executive for its Brisbane, QLD office. This full-time, on-site role offers a salary of $100,000 – $120,000 per year plus Super.

This is a broad-scope position that combines financial accounting with commercial and operational business exposure. You will collaborate directly with the Chief Financial Officer and the leadership team, gaining high-level strategic involvement and visibility. This hands-on role encompasses supply chain, production cost analysis, and operational performance tracking. You will play a key part in revenue reporting, cost management, and driving financial insight across the business. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys moving beyond traditional accounting into real business operations to make an impact.

Alma Cannabis Pty Ltd is now seeking a passionate and driven Finance and Operations Executive to join its Australian team and contribute to shaping the future of the industry.

The Role This broad-scope role is suited for an individual with professional experience combining accounting, commercial acumen, and genuine exposure beyond traditional financial accounting. You will work closely with the CFO and the wider team, embedding yourself across both the financial and operational aspects of the business. This includes areas from supply chain and product cost analysis through to revenue reporting, cost management, and hands-on involvement in the day-to-day operations of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Operations & Reporting
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts using Xero.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Record and analyse cost of goods sold (COGS), batch yields, and production variances.
• Co-ordinate daily stock transfers.
• Collaborate with the Operations and Supply Chain teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation and stock reconciliation.
• Provide financial input into production planning and process improvements.
• Assist in modelling, scenario analysis, and business case development for new products, markets, and distribution channels.
• Support pricing analysis and margin review across the product portfolio.

About You

• Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a comparable role, ideally within manufacturing, agribusiness, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, or another regulated/production environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Xero) and Excel.
• A qualified CPA Australia or equivalent, or part or fully qualified, is a bonus.
• Exposure to cost accounting, inventory management, or operational finance is highly regarded.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in a regulated environment.
• A genuine interest in the medical cannabis and healthcare sector.
• High integrity and discretion, given the sensitive regulatory and commercial nature of the business.

• Requirements
• National Police Check.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, accounting software (Xero), and CRM systems.
