BJT Business Advisors Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team in Berwick. This is a full-time, onsite position with a salary range of $80,000 to $95,000 per year.

About the Role This varied role involves managing a portfolio of business clients and providing advice to support their financial decision-making. Responsibilities include:

• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, self-managed superannuation funds, and individuals.
• Preparing and reviewing Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns.
• Assisting clients with payroll tax, WorkCover, and other statutory compliance requirements.
• Delivering proactive tax planning and business advisory services.
• Building strong client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor.
• Supporting and collaborating with team members.

About You The ideal candidate will enjoy working with both people and numbers. Qualifications and experience sought include:

• CA or CPA qualification, or nearing completion.
• Several years of experience in Australian public practice, with a focus on Business Services.
• Ability to manage time and workflow effectively.
• Strong technical knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance requirements.
• Experience in preparing financial statements and income tax returns.
• Experience in preparing FBT returns.
• A sound understanding of payroll tax, WorkCover, and related statutory obligations.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Confidence in reviewing work and mentoring junior team members or offshore staff.
