We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance team. This is an opportunity for an individual who enjoys focusing on details, developing strong working relationships across the organisation, and contributing to precise and punctual financial reporting.
About the Role
This position will involve supporting daily accounting functions, ensuring financial data is accurate, compliant, and delivered on schedule. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the business and play a significant role in month-end procedures, reporting, and ongoing improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Monitor equipment sales, rentals, and trade-ins.
- Assist with stocktakes and inventory reconciliations, covering parts and attachments.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial data.
- Support audit requirements by providing schedules and documentation.
- Assist with cost analysis across operations and service divisions.
- Contribute to cashflow reporting and forecasting.
- Support financial projects and ad hoc reporting.
- Identify process improvements and efficiencies.
Requirements
- CA/CPA qualified or working towards qualification.
- Approximately 2–3 years of experience in an Accountant or similar role.
- A strong understanding of Australian accounting standards.
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Good communication skills and the capacity to build relationships across the business.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience using multiple systems and working with multiple legal entities.
