Role Overview:

BAE Systems seeks an Accounting Manager to join the Central Functions Finance team. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will be a key contributor to financial integrity, decision support, and continuous improvement within our Corporate cost centres.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Planning & Analysis:
• Consolidate and report on Central cost centre results, providing insights into business performance.
• Identify and track business risks and opportunities with financial implications.
• Business Partnering:
• Collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate, refine, and constructively challenge financial forecast inputs.
• Critically review financial budgets and forecasts.
• Provide actionable insights to senior finance stakeholders.
• Compliance & Risk:
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, legislation, and corporate policies.
• Process Improvement:
• Drive efficiencies in reporting, forecasting, and project finance processes.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements across the finance function.

About You:

• Possess a degree qualification and a professional CA, CIMA, or CPA qualification.
• Demonstrate a growth mindset and natural curiosity to understand the business beyond financial statements.
• Exhibit aptitude for critical thinking, storytelling, and attention to detail.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
