Outright Plumbing is a growing plumbing company seeking an organised and reliable Accounts & Administration Assistant to join its office team. The company focuses on providing excellent service, developing efficient systems, and fostering an enjoyable workplace.
This role involves supporting the Finance Manager with daily bookkeeping and accounts administration, alongside general office administration. Responsibilities may also include answering customer calls and assisting with booking maintenance jobs during peak times or in the afternoons. The position is suited to an individual who values organisation, accuracy, and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts & Bookkeeping:
- Conduct daily bank reconciliations in Xero.
- Reconcile company credit cards.
- Process supplier invoices.
- Prepare supplier payments.
- Assist with month-end bookkeeping tasks.
- Generate debtor reports and aid in payment follow-up.
- Process credit applications.
- Maintain subcontractor records.
- Support the Finance Manager with routine bookkeeping duties.
- Administration:
- Perform general office administration.
- Undertake data entry and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare and organise documentation.
- Assist with the enhancement of office systems and processes.
- Customer Support:
- Respond to incoming customer calls as needed.
- Book maintenance jobs during busy periods and in the afternoons.
- Assist customers with enquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide support to the broader team when required.
About You:
You will be an individual who:
- Possesses prior bookkeeping, accounts, or administration experience.
- Is confident using Xero.
- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail.
- Enjoys being organised and working accurately.
- Can manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Is friendly, reliable, and enjoys working as part of a team.
- Has strong communication skills.
- Enjoys learning new systems and technology.
- Maintains a positive attitude and is willing to assist wherever needed.
Skills & Experience:
- Essential:
- Previous experience using Xero.
- Previous experience in an accounts, bookkeeping, or administration role.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- High attention to detail.
- Highly Regarded:
- Experience within a trade, construction, or service-based business.
- Experience using Simpro.
- Experience using Asana or similar task management software.
- An interest in AI, automation, and improving business systems.
