Mars Recruitment is seeking an experienced Accounts Officer for a permanent, full-time position in Burnley. The salary offered is $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per annum plus superannuation. This role operates on a hybrid work model.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role involves managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, alongside supporting the wider finance team within a dynamic and cooperative setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring adherence to statutory obligations and timelines.
• Managing Accounts Payable, including the reconciliation of international payments.
• Handling Accounts Receivable, with a focus on end-of-month payment reconciliation and joint claim resolution with the claims team.
• Processing financial transactions, data entry, reconciliation, and banking activities.

About You: To be considered for this position, you will possess:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in a comparable accounting or bookkeeping role, encompassing AP, AR, reconciliations, payroll, and financial reporting. Experience within an SME environment is ideal.
• Significant proficiency in MYOB, with a strong emphasis on accuracy.
• Competence in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• A sound understanding of accounting principles and month-end reporting procedures, including BAS.
• A relevant qualification, with a Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Certificate III in Accounting being preferred.
• Exceptional organisational skills, with the capacity to work autonomously and manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong communication abilities, including a professional telephone demeanour and the skill to interact effectively with individuals at all levels.
