Accounts Officer

Parabellum International seeks a full-time Accounts Officer to commence immediately at its Naval Base, WA headquarters. This role is for a finance professional demonstrating motivation and attention to detail, to join a developing team.
In this practical position, you will be integral to the delivery of precise and prompt Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) services. You will cultivate robust relationships with customers and suppliers, and contribute to the advancement of efficient finance operations. What you'll be doing:
- Process AP transactions, including supplier invoices, payments, and expenses, with accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage end-to-end AR activities, including customer invoicing, receipting, allocations, and collections.
- Reconcile supplier statements, customer accounts, bank transactions, and general ledger balances.
- Investigate and resolve invoice, payment, and account discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate vendor and customer records to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Support month-end and year-end reporting, reconciliations, and audit preparation.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders by providing responsive, professional support.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
About you:
- Previous experience in AP, AR, or a similar finance role is required.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy is essential.
- Sound understanding of reconciliations, invoice processing, GST, and basic accounting principles is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Pronto (or similar ERP system) is necessary.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills are needed.
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, reliable, and solutions-focused approach is desirable.
