Accounts Officer - Part Time (School Hours Available)

Designtec Commercial Furniture, a manufacturer of high-quality commercial furniture and joinery for projects across Western Australia and nationally, is seeking an experienced and highly organised Accounts Officer to join our Wangara-based team on a part-time basis.

This role is responsible for the day-to-day accounts and financial administration of the business. You will work closely with Management and liaise with our external finance team to support the smooth and accurate operation of the company's financial functions. An Administration Assistant will support you with the entry of supplier invoices and customer sales orders and invoices.

This position offers flexible part-time hours and may be ideally suited to someone seeking school hours while enjoying a rewarding role within a well-established and growing Australian manufacturer.

Responsibilities include:

• Accounts Payable and supplier payments
• Accounts Receivable and customer credit control
• Weekly payroll processing
• Bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring
• BAS, payroll tax, superannuation and statutory compliance
• Inventory and Work in Progress (WIP) accounting
• Fixed asset management
• Month-end reporting and financial administration
• Liaising with our external finance team

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a similar Accounts Officer, Bookkeeper or Accountant role
• Strong experience across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll
• Sound understanding of Australian taxation requirements, including GST, BAS, Superannuation and Payroll Tax
• Advanced MYOB experience
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to work independently, anticipate business needs and take ownership of responsibilities
• A professional and confidential approach when handling financial information
