Accounts Payable Administrator
Align Talent Pty Ltd is seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator for a full-time, hybrid role based in Mulgrave. The salary on offer is $75-80k +Super.

The Role
Reporting to a highly respected Finance Leader, this position presents a unique opportunity to join a high-performing and stable Accounts Payable team. The manager is known for their supportive and easy-going nature, with a reputation for fairness, approachability, and respect. While part of the Accounts Payable team, this role has a distinct focus beyond traditional invoice processing. You will be significantly involved in vendor creation, master data maintenance, credit card administration, and supporting internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to processes and policies. This role is suited to an individual who is confident, resilient, and comfortable engaging in direct conversations when necessary, particularly concerning credit card compliance and outstanding expense submissions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing vendor creation and maintaining accurate supplier master data.
- Updating and maintaining supplier records across internal systems.
- Supporting credit card administration across the business.
- Following up with employees regarding outstanding credit card expenses.
- Assisting with the cancellation or suspension of credit cards when policy requirements are not met.
- Responding to supplier and internal stakeholder queries.
- Supporting the Accounts Payable team with invoice and payment-related queries.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Assisting with process improvements across vendor master data and AP administration.

The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will possess experience in Accounts Payable, vendor administration, or finance support, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and follow-up are critical. You will be organised, detail-focused, and comfortable interacting with internal stakeholders across the business. This role requires someone who can be friendly and approachable, yet firm when necessary, particularly when following up on outstanding expenses, addressing process issues, and ensuring company policy is upheld.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Experience in Accounts Payable, vendor administration, or finance support.
- Experience maintaining supplier or vendor master data.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with financial records.
- Confidence in dealing with internal stakeholders and following up on outstanding information.
- Ability to conduct firm but professional conversations when required.
- Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- A team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and willingness to support others.
- Experience with credit card administration will be highly regarded.
