Accounts Payable Officer

Excolo is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join the finance team of a well-established construction business in Sydney NSW. This is an onsite contract role with a genuine pathway to permanent employment for a suitable candidate. The company has a strong pipeline of projects across New South Wales.

This position is suited to an individual who excels in a fast-paced, project-driven setting and can commence work immediately.

The Role

• Undertake full-cycle accounts payable processing for a high volume of subcontractor and supplier invoices.
• Match purchase orders, delivery dockets, and invoices.
• Prepare and process payment runs.
• Reconcile supplier statements and address queries promptly.
• Code invoices to the correct cost centres and projects within Jobpac.
• Liaise with site teams and project managers to resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Support month-end close activities and AP reporting.
• Maintain accurate vendor records and assist with audit requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated accounts payable experience, preferably within construction, engineering, or a project-based sector.
• Hands-on experience with Jobpac is essential and non-negotiable.
• Strong attention to detail and capacity to manage a high volume of transactions.
• Confident communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external vendors.
• Immediate availability or a short notice period.
• Full, unrestricted Australian working rights.
