About the Role Reporting to the Accounts & Payroll Manager, the Accounts Payable Officer will support JBS&G's accounting function and be responsible for managing all facets of the accounts payable process. This role ensures the timely and accurate processing of invoices, adherence to relevant regulations, and the maintenance of financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile expense claims, credit card transactions, and accounts payable invoices.
- Maintain the supplier register, manage supplier relationships, and respond to supplier inquiries.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable ledgers.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and contribute to financial reporting requirements.
- Support accounting projects and process improvement initiatives as required.
About You
- Possess 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
- Demonstrated experience using accounting software; experience with Xero is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is essential.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, adaptable, and collaborative team player with a focus on personal development.
- Able to identify and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues efficiently.
