We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to become part of our finance team. This represents a significant opportunity for an experienced AP professional who thrives in a collaborative setting and takes satisfaction in ensuring accurate and punctual financial processing.
Responsibilities:
- Confirming all expenditure is business-related and promptly reporting any discrepancies.
- Ensuring all expenditure aligns with contracts and agreed rates.
- Liaising with creditors.
- Maintaining creditor records.
- Processing credit applications.
- Strictly adhering to invoice procedures, including review, scrutiny, timely entry, and purchase order completion, to ensure expenses comply with policies and contracts.
- Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly payment schedules.
- Entering bank payments and dispatching remittance advice.
- Conducting monthly reconciliation of supplier statements.
- Contributing to monthly reporting.
- Performing daily reviews of credit card expenditure.
- Assisting with, adhering to, and monitoring expenditure against the Credit and Fuel Card Policy.
- Managing fuel card allocation and reconciliation.
- Controlling and reconciling petty cash.
- Managing credit card allocation and reconciliation.
- Supervising and managing the workload of AP outsources, including reviewing their reports.
Candidate Profile:
- Possesses a keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of working effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Able to engage with the Finance team, Operations team, and Clients in a consistent and professional manner.
- Proficient in Excel.
- An accounting background or qualification is highly preferable.
