Accounts Payable Supervisor

The Accounts Payable Supervisor will be a detail-driven and forward-thinking professional responsible for maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of the Accounts Payable functions. This role ensures accurate, compliant financial data and reporting, strengthening transparency and continuous improvement while leading and supporting the Accounts Payable team. Duties:
- Lead, support, and supervise the Accounts Payable team in a fast-paced environment.
- Monitor daily workloads and allocate tasks to meet business priorities.
- Ensure all accounts payable invoices are processed accurately and on time.
- Oversee payment runs to meet supplier terms and avoid late payments.
- Track daily and weekly processing targets and address any delays promptly.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and approval limits.
- Manage urgent or high-priority payments.
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in current accounts payable processes.
- Simplify and standardise procedures to improve speed and accuracy.
- Implement automation or system improvements where possible.
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations across multiple accounts.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience in Accounts Payable, Finance Operations, or a similar role.
- Previous leadership experience within the finance field.
- Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes, controls, and best practices.
- Experience in process improvement and transformation.
- Previous experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail with strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
- Professional and reliable work ethic.
- Friendly, approachable personality who enjoys being part of a close-knit supportive team.
- Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain one.
