This position is to provide financial, clerical, and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate records of accounts receivable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily bank reconciliations, including foreign currency accounts in Workday.
- Preparation of daily banking journals and ad-hoc bank transactions for entry into the general ledger.
- Processing of daily bank credits, receipting, and maintaining customer accounts in MYOB.
- Investigation of unknown receipts, liaising with the bank and RSM office managers to identify where these should be recorded in the general ledger/debtors ledger.
- Performing monthly reconciliations of debtor balances between Workday and MYOB receipts for a month and liaising with key RSM staff to resolve discrepancies.
- Daily cashflow analysis and reporting to senior management.
- Managing the Accounts Receivable e-mail inbox to ensure timely responses to queries.
- Responsibility for the recovery of invoices issued to ex-employees for any excess payments/recoups and coordinating actively with the People & Culture team.
- Continued documentation and updating of Accounts Receivable processes.
- Cross-skilling with other areas within Group Finance.
- Sharing knowledge with team members through effective communication.
- Developing and maintaining working relationships with multiple office managers and the People & Culture team.
About You:
Education Requirements:
- Essential: Certificate/Diploma in accounting/bookkeeping.
Demonstrated Experience & Attributes:
- Essential: Minimum 1-2 years in a similar role or accounting role.
- Good organisational skills and a process-oriented approach for any follow-up within and outside RSM.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exposure to coding invoices.
- Knowledge of general accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
- Strong problem-solving and query resolution skills.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Desirable:
- ERP knowledge: Workday and MYOB experience would be an added advantage.
