The Opportunity
We are looking for a proactive and engaging Accounts Receivable & Payable Team Leader to oversee the complete AR and AP functions and support a small, high-performing team. This hands-on role offers a chance to make a tangible impact by managing supplier payments, credit, reconciliations, reporting, and process enhancements within a dynamic FMCG setting. This is a valuable opportunity for an individual who thrives in leading initiatives, enhancing operational methods, and contributing visibly.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end AP function, managing supplier invoice processing, payment accuracy, and timely workflow via Redmap and Pronto.
- Manage AR activities, including cash collection, credit applications, customer due diligence, DSO performance, and bad debt risk.
- Oversee key employee finance systems and processes, such as Concur, employee expense reimbursements, corporate card expenditure, and the corporate travel application.
- Lead, support, and develop a team of two, ensuring clear priorities and effective workload management.
- Prepare accurate reporting and provide meaningful insights and commentary on receivables, payables, and working capital performance.
- Manage key reconciliations, controls, and compliance requirements, including GRNI reconciliation, audit support, policy adherence, and ATO payment time reporting.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across MNA to assist with customer set-up, payments, holds, supplier queries, and effective use of accounts systems.
- Identify and implement process and system improvements across AR/AP, focusing on simplifying workflows, strengthening controls, and boosting productivity for the wider business.
To Succeed With Us
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in AP and/or AR.
- Demonstrated experience managing a high-volume, high-performing team within an FMCG environment.
- Strong AP and credit management experience gained in a small to medium FMCG environment with at least 500 suppliers and customers.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- A strong work ethic and the ability to adapt and change.
- High energy, positivity, and an engaging personality.
- A qualification in Business Administration or Finance is desirable.
