Sharp & Carter Accounting Clerical SE is seeking an Accounts Receivable Team Leader for a full-time, remote position based in Oakleigh. This is a long-term temporary assignment with an immediate start.

About the Company: Our client, a market leader experiencing rapid growth, is located in the south east. They are looking for a fun and capable individual to lead their Accounts Receivable team. This role requires a candidate who can foster a positive team culture and proactively manage customer payment patterns through a professional approach.

About the Role: This is a busy, hands-on, full-function role. You will manage your own diverse customer ledger and be self-motivated to meet individual targets while supporting your team to achieve theirs. Excellent communication skills are essential, along with the ability to lead a team and implement learning and development strategies. Proven experience in a dynamic and continually changing environment is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full function credit control
• Management of other team members
• Responsibility for a mixed ledger of clients, including major and smaller accounts
• Daily banking and allocations
• Monthly reconciliations
• Month-end reporting
• Handling inbound queries
• Processing customer refunds
• Managing internal and external collection processes
• Partnering with and maintaining relationships with a third-party collections agency
• Managing a team and addressing escalations
• Providing support and guidance to junior team members
• Utilising leadership experience and skills to reinforce a positive work culture
• Performing ad hoc duties as requested

Skills / Experience / Qualifications:

• Experience in Accounts Receivable
• Experience within a leadership role
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and strong problem-solving skills
• Strong customer service focus with a strong understanding of commercial practices
• Systems experience
