About the Role: As an Aged/Disability Support Worker, you will be instrumental in assisting participants to live their lives to the fullest. This role involves delivering high-quality care within clients' homes and EasAbility Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes, addressing their holistic needs. Within an integrated team structure, you will operate within an established framework to support clients in achieving choice, control, and independence across all aspects of their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal Care: Assisting clients with personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
  • Medication Management: Administering medications and ensuring adherence to prescribed treatments.
  • Daily Living Assistance: Supporting with household tasks, meal preparation, and shopping.
  • Mobility Support: Aiding with mobility and facilitating transportation to appointments and social engagements.
  • Emotional Support: Providing companionship and engaging in meaningful activities.
  • Health Monitoring: Observing and reporting any changes in clients’ health or behaviour.
  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of care delivered and clients’ progress.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certificate III or higher qualification in Individual Support (Aged Care or Disability) or an equivalent qualification.
  • 12 months of work experience with at least 20 hours per week of relevant work experience in disability support, aged care, or similar roles is preferred.
  • A valid Driver's License, First Aid and CPR certification, a police check, and a Working with Children Check / DHS – DCSI – Disability Employment Screening Clearance / NDIS Worker Check, or willingness to complete these when requested.
  • Australian Citizens or Permanent Resident Visa holders are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent organisational and team management skills.
  • Ability to work and integrate within a team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated compassion, patience, reliability, and respect.
