Join Darling Downs Health as a Quality Officer in the Darling Downs region and contribute to safer, more effective care. This role involves transforming data into meaningful improvements, supporting teams to enhance practice, and playing a key part in achieving better outcomes for patients and communities.

Your Role

As a Quality Officer, you will be instrumental in strengthening the delivery of care across Darling Downs Health. Your responsibilities will include translating insights into action, supporting teams through change, and fostering a culture where quality and safety are paramount.

Your daily contributions will involve:

  • Transforming data, audits, and evidence into clear improvement actions that enhance patient care.
  • Collaborating with clinicians and leaders to guide quality initiatives and support informed decision-making.
  • Building team capability through coaching others in improvement methods and continuous practice.
  • Driving progress by tracking initiatives, addressing barriers, and supporting sustainable change.

You excel at interpreting complex information, facilitating understanding, and translating it into practical actions. What You'll Bring

  • Experience applying quality improvement approaches such as PDSA, Lean, or similar.
  • A strong ability to analyse and translate data into meaningful insights and actions.
  • Confident communication skills, with the capacity to engage and influence diverse teams.
  • Experience supporting education, coaching, or capability development in a workplace setting.

Desirable Experience

Experience in healthcare quality or clinical governance environments and/or additional study in quality, safety, or health improvement would be advantageous.
