Aircraft Life Support Fitter
Lockheed Martin Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an Aircraft Life Support Fitter for a contract position at their Holsworthy, NSW location. This onsite role is part of a mission-critical Defence aviation program.
This role offers the chance to engage in a variety of maintenance and support activities for UH-60M Aeronautical Life Support Equipment (ALSE). You will have the opportunity to supervise and plan tasks for a combined team of Australian Defence Force and contractor personnel. A key aspect of this position is contributing to the airworthiness of aircraft and ALSE components. Continuous learning and development, including system-specific courses and competence assessments, will be available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake full-spectrum maintenance and support tasks for ALSE, including test and calibration of support equipment.
- Provide supervision, planning, and control for a team comprising ADF and contractor personnel.
- Ensure error capture for ALSE as required.
- Evaluate and manage on-hand spares and consumables.
- Conduct all maintenance in accordance with approved data and operational instructions.
- Adhere to all Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements.
- Undertake secondary activities within the scope of training and authorisations as directed.
About You:
As an AME Independent Inspector Level 4, you will be responsible for ensuring aircraft and associated ALSE components are airworthy according to prescribed aviation standards. You will be accountable for your work and are required to endorse all maintenance and General Maintenance Tasks (GAT) completed in the aircraft continuing airworthiness record system.
Essential Qualifications:
- Completion of platform-specific safety familiarisation courses.
- Completion of system or component-specific courses for maintenance.
- Demonstrated competence assessment on authorised tasks.
- Possession of appropriate aircraft trade qualifications (e.g., trade papers, apprenticeship).
Desirable Qualifications:
- Relevant experience, assessed for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
