Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical to join their Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team at RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland. This is a full-time, onsite position.

BDA is involved in significant programs for the Australian Defence Force, contributing to national interests through advanced aerospace operations. The role offers the opportunity to work on military airlift capabilities, including the C-17A Globemaster, in support of the Royal Australian Airforce.

Responsibilities:

• Maintenance, modification, servicing, and troubleshooting of C-17A aircraft systems.
• Ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Mentorship of subordinate technicians.

Experience/Qualifications (Essential):

• Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical).
• Demonstrated understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and regulations.
• Must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain an Australian NV1 Defence security clearance.
• Hold a C class driver's license.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders.

Experience/Qualifications (Desirable):

• Previous experience working with Military aircraft.
• Hold CASA or DASA Maintenance License or the ability to obtain.
• Demonstrated good knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety procedures.
• Working knowledge of computer-based maintenance management systems.

Security Clearance:

Successful candidates will be required to undergo vetting for a government security clearance (Negative Vetting 1), sponsored by BDA. This involves disclosing all relevant information and verifying your background from birth to present. Salary:

$50.28 (AME2) or $55.02 (AME3) per hour + super.
