Chandler Macleod is seeking a skilled Asset Condition Assessment Officer for a contract role based in Shenton Park, WA. This position is integral to a high-performing Engineering Support team, focusing on asset condition inspections, integrity assessments, and infrastructure monitoring for water, wastewater, and drainage assets across Western Australia.
This role offers an opportunity for professionals with experience in asset inspection, NDT testing, civil engineering, or infrastructure condition monitoring to contribute to essential public infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct asset condition assessments for water, wastewater, and drainage infrastructure.
- Perform field inspections and infrastructure condition monitoring.
- Collect, process, and analyse asset condition data for reporting.
- Support and operate CCTV pipeline inspection systems and software.
- Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), including:
- Ultrasonic Thickness (UT)
- Dry Film Thickness (DFT)
- Pulsed Eddy Current (PEC)
- Assist with inspection planning and scheduling.
- Analyse data from ROVs, drones, inspection technologies, and laboratory results.
- Prepare detailed asset condition and inspection reports.
- Conduct testing on materials such as steel, concrete, cast iron, asbestos cement, and soil.
- Work safely in field environments, confined spaces, and at heights.
Skills & Experience:
- Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience or knowledge in asset condition assessment, inspection, or asset integrity.
- Understanding of corrosion, structural performance, or infrastructure assets.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Exposure to NDT techniques or inspection technologies (desirable).
- Current C-Class Driver’s Licence.
Desirable Experience:
- Background in water utilities, infrastructure, or asset management.
- Experience with CCTV pipeline inspection software and systems.
- Knowledge of asset lifecycle management or reliability engineering.
