Clarity Partners, an established property business, seeks an Assistant Accountant to join its collaborative finance team. This contract role offers exposure to a wide array of accounting and financial reporting activities within the real estate sector. You will work closely with experienced professionals, contributing to accurate financial management and the ongoing success of the finance team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including journals, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Support the preparation of financial reports for investors, financiers, and internal stakeholders.
• Assist with year-end financial statements and external audit requirements.
• Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) and support income tax compliance activities.
• Assist with project accounting, entity administration, and investor services.
• Support treasury activities, including cash flow monitoring and debt facility administration.
• Assist with financial modelling and project reporting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and statutory requirements.
• Contribute to improvements in finance systems, processes, and business reporting.

About You

• A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar accounting position.
• Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Progress towards a CA or CPA qualification will be highly regarded.
