Keegan Adams Recruitment Pty Ltd is exclusively partnering with an established and expanding financial services organisation to recruit an Assistant Accountant. This full-time, onsite position is based in Sydney NSW.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, your duties will encompass:

• Preparing daily and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple entities.
• Processing and reviewing supplier invoices, verifying approvals and coding accuracy.
• Managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
• Assisting with BAS preparation and month-end reporting.
• Maintaining loan registers and calculating monthly interest for third-party loans.
• Processing creditor payments using online banking platforms.
• Assisting with broker trail payments and investor distributions.
• Processing investor transactions, including fund allocations, transfers, and redemptions.
• Supporting month-end and year-end close procedures.
• Assisting with audit preparation and liaising with external auditors.
• Maintaining precise workpapers and supporting financial documentation.
• Identifying potential improvements to finance processes and controls.
• Providing ad hoc reporting and administrative support to the finance team as needed.

About You

To be considered for this position, you will ideally possess:

• Prior experience in an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Officer, or Bookkeeping capacity.
• A solid understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Exposure to month-end processes and general ledger accounting.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Experience with MYOB is advantageous but not essential.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organisational capabilities.
• Strong communication skills with the capacity for collaborative work across the business.
• A proactive attitude and a readiness to learn and develop.
