About the Opportunity

This role reports directly to the Management Accountant (Senior's Living). The position is responsible for maintaining all controls, business/financial processes, and procedures in accordance with Mercy Health Group Finance Policies/Procedures to ensure accurate data reporting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Completing end-of-month reporting tasks to provide accurate financial data for strategic business decision-making.
  • Undertaking balance sheet reconciliations monthly to validate financial data accuracy.
  • Actively participating in monthly and quarterly reporting processes for Seniors Living Management and external stakeholders.
  • Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Conducting dynamic analysis, project work, and ad hoc tasks as required.
  • Preparing responses to enquiries from internal and external stakeholders, adhering to multiple Retirement Village Acts.

As a member of the Finance and Support Services team, you will contribute leadership towards achieving and upholding Mercy Health's Vision, Purpose, and Values.

To excel in this role, you will possess:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate outcomes clearly and demonstrate sound judgment.
  • Degree qualification in accountancy, business, or a related field is desirable, but not mandatory.
  • Experience with the Retirement Village Acts is highly regarded, but not mandatory.
  • You will be required to provide evidence of, or be in the process of obtaining, a current Police Record Check.
