The Opportunity
This is a 12-month maximum term contract role, offering a valuable opportunity for a recent Accounting or Finance graduate, or an individual early in their career, to gain extensive experience in a variety of accounting and finance functions.
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will contribute to financial reporting, reconciliations, treasury, budgeting, audits, and compliance activities. This role will support the development of your technical skills and provide exposure to a large corporate finance environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting
- Preparing reconciliations, journals, and financial schedules
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Assisting with treasury, tax, and audit activities
- Supporting joint venture accounting and reporting
- Contributing to process improvement initiatives
Who You Are
You are a motivated and detail-oriented accounting professional seeking to learn and build a career in finance.
You will possess:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Up to 12 months of post-graduate experience
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
- A proactive approach and a willingness to learn
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
