Assistant Financial Controller

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee inventory accounting, encompassing valuation, reconciliations, provisions, and variance analysis.
  • Manage fixed assets and lease accounting, ensuring accurate recording and depreciation.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Support month-end close processes and prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Review financial results and identify key insights.
  • Deliver clear management reports and explain variances.
  • Contribute to audits, tax compliance, and statutory reporting.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
  • Address ad hoc financial reporting and analysis requests from stakeholders and Head Office.

About You:

  • CA or CPA qualified.
  • Possess 4-7 years of experience in financial accounting and/or audit.
  • Big 4 or mid-tier audit experience is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of inventory accounting and general ledger processes is essential.
  • Experience with month-end close, reporting, audit, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated analytical and reconciliation skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Experience in a group reporting environment is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are required.
