Nexia Sydney has an opportunity for an Accountant to join its Audit & Assurance team. The team comprises 50 staff and 11 partners and is focusing on emerging audit trends and technologies, including data analytics and project management systems. The team's industry leaders and IT systems aim to provide resources and support for career advancement.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake a range of audit jobs for a diverse client portfolio.
• Ensure assigned audits are conducted in line with the Nexia Audit Approach.
• Proactively liaise with clients and provide constructive advice as needed.
• Depending on experience, plan, supervise, and finalise audit assignments.

About You: The successful candidate will possess:

• External auditing experience within an accountancy firm.
• Accountancy qualification in progress or completed (CA preferred).
• Appropriate professional and technical skills to demonstrate effective application of the audit approach.
• Good knowledge and understanding of Australian corporate reporting requirements, including Accounting Standards, Corporations Act, and UIG.
• Good knowledge of Word, Excel, APS, and audit systems (Caseware preferred).
• Superior written and oral communication skills.
• A high standard of appearance and approach when dealing with clients.
• Good time management skills and the ability to maximise personal productivity.

Salary: Starting from $85,700 inclusive of superannuation.
