Job Description

Aurion Payroll Improvement Partner

Aurion Corporation Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Aurion Payroll Improvement Partner to join our Managed Payroll Services (MPS) team. This onsite role is based in Milton.

At Aurion, our people are central to who we are and how we work. With over 40 years of experience in the people and payroll industry, we offer a supportive and collaborative environment where knowledge is shared and people are empowered to make an impact. We partner with Australian organisations to deliver trusted people and payroll solutions, guided by the belief that meaningful outcomes are shaped by how we work, not just what we deliver.

As we continue to grow, this new position will support our MPS team with implementations, improvement activities, and strengthen process consistency, efficiency, and service quality. Working closely with payroll operations, product, and client teams, you will optimise the payroll process framework to drive standardisation and system improvement, making it easier for teams to deliver high-quality, compliant payroll outcomes every day.

Responsibilities

  • Support system administration activities and implement controls and governance that optimise and standardise the MPS payroll processes.
  • Document and continuously improve payroll workflows.
  • Analyse operational insights to identify and develop improvement plans.
  • Embed consistent processes across payroll teams.
  • Contribute to system and workflow enhancements.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support service optimisation.

This is an exciting, hands-on, fast-paced, and highly collaborative role focused on developing standardisation and embedding better ways of working with our teams to deliver quality outcomes at scale.

About You

You are a passionate payroll professional with strong Aurion experience who loves questioning the status quo to ensure work is being done in the most efficient and practical ways, building systems and processes that make a real difference and can provide hands-on implementation and specialist system administration support.

  • Aurion payroll and system administration and/or implementation experience.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and operations.
  • Proven ability to identify and support process improvements with a strong continuous improvement mindset.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Experienced in outsourced payroll including client delivery, while not essential, would be highly valued.

Benefits of joining our team

Rated an HRD Employer of Choice for 3 years in a row, we offer a range of industry-leading benefits, including:

  • Competitive pay and benefits.
  • Hybrid working arrangements (after an initial in-office onboarding period).
  • Career growth opportunities within a thriving technology business.
  • The security of joining a trusted and established Australian brand.
  • A calendar of regular social events, including monthly office breakfasts, social connection drinks, and more.
  • Opportunities to participate in committees aligned to your passions, including Wellbeing, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), and Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) working groups.

Our head office is located in the heart of Milton, featuring a newly refurbished workspace just a 50-metre walk from Milton Train Station.

At Aurion, we are committed to building a truly inclusive, diverse, and equitable workplace where every person feels valued, respected, and empowered to belong as part of our One Team Aurion culture. We welcome and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences; across all nationalities, cultures, gender identities, abilities, ages, and ways of thinking.

We strongly encourage applications from people with disabilities and are committed to providing reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process and employment lifecycle. Our aim is to create an accessible, supportive environment that ensures equal access to opportunities and enables everyone to succeed.
