About the Role

Reporting to the State Manager, this critical role will involve:

  • Day-to-day technical delivery across a spectrum of projects, from long-term greenfield developments to the modernisation or refurbishment of brownfield facilities.
  • Hands-on engagement from initial scoping and requirements gathering, through the review of engineering specifications, detailed design, and programming, to testing and commissioning.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting across the entire project lifecycle, employing a timely and structured approach to issue resolution.
  • Application of sound technical knowledge of control systems and technologies across diverse clients and industry portfolios.
  • Collaborative work within dynamic, multi-disciplinary project teams, participating in progress meetings and client engagements.
  • Assistance with business development activities as needed, including proposal writing and tender submissions.
  • Participation in ongoing training and development, comprising a blend of practical and theoretical in-house and external programs.

About You

We are seeking enthusiastic, like-minded collaborators who view their work as a pathway for growth and professional development. For this position, we will be looking for:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering field, such as Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or other engineering disciplines.
  • A hands-on and collaborative approach, with some experience in delivering automation or controls projects.
  • Ideally, experience programming PLCs and/or SCADA technologies. Experience with HMIs, DCS, RTUs, and other automation technologies will be highly regarded.
  • Proven experience within highly regulated or high-risk industries, such as water/utilities, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, or FMCG environments.
  • Engineering Consultancy experience will be highly regarded but is not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, with demonstrated ability to work within a team dynamic and ask pertinent questions.
  • A self-driven individual with a willingness to learn and develop, ideally suited to grow with the business.
