B1.2 Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

Aerosure is seeking a B1.2 Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer for an onsite, full-time role based in Alice Springs.

Responsibilities:

• Aircraft Maintenance and Inspection: Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on aircraft, adhering strictly to CASA regulations and manufacturer specifications.
• Certification of Release to Service: Authorise aircraft return to service by certifying the completion of all maintenance and repairs undertaken.
• Fault Diagnosis: Employ technical knowledge and diagnostic tools to pinpoint mechanical, electrical, and avionics issues.
• Compliance Assurance: Guarantee all maintenance activities align with CASA regulations, airworthiness directives (ADs), service bulletins (SBs), and company policies.
• Record Keeping: Maintain precise and thorough records of all maintenance activities, including logbooks, worksheets, and digital systems, as mandated by CASA.
• Team Collaboration: Cooperate with fellow engineers, technicians, and operational personnel to ensure efficient operations and uphold safety standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Engage in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated with advancements in technology, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Safety Advocacy: Foster a safety-conscious environment by following occupational health and safety procedures, reporting hazards, and implementing safety initiatives.
• Technical Support: Offer guidance and mentorship to unlicensed maintenance staff and apprentices.
• Tool and Equipment Management: Oversee the correct usage, calibration, and upkeep of tools, equipment, and ground support units.
• Customer Liaison: Liaise with operators, pilots, and management to explain technical findings, provide maintenance progress reports, and address inquiries.

Requirements:

• Current CASA B1.2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence.
• Experience with light aircraft, such as Cessna and Baron, is required.
• Full-time employment is preferred.
• Short-term and long-term contract terms are available.
