The Trust and Safety (TnS) engineering team is dedicated to protecting users from harmful content and abusive behaviours. Through the continuous efforts of this team, TikTok aims to provide the best user experience and bring joy globally. The team achieves its goals by developing content moderation process systems, rule engines, strategy systems, feature engines, human moderation platforms, risk insight systems, and various supportive platforms across the TnS organisation.

Responsibilities

• Undertake research and development for trust and safety related systems and product functionalities on international live streaming products. This includes, but is not limited to, safety processes, user perception, review efficiency improvement, and strategy platform construction.
• Enhance the safety experience for a large number of international live streaming users by building high-concurrency, high-stability systems designed for high daily active users.
• Conduct in-depth exploration and analysis of business requirements and products to identify solutions for live streaming safety issues.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Individuals who are completing or have recently completed a Bachelor’s or above degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Proficiency in designing data structures, building algorithms, and at least one programming language from the following: Python, Go, PHP, C++, or Java.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent problem analysis and driving ability, with a good aptitude for thinking about the underlying causes of problems and adeptness at summarising and concluding.
• Great communication and teamwork skills.
• Good teamwork, communication skills, and service awareness, with a proactive and optimistic outlook, a strong sense of responsibility, and self-motivation.
